About

Paolo Belcastro

Vienna

I discovered black-and-white photography in elementary school. I was seven years old.

My name is Paolo Belcastro, I have been making photos since the late ’70. Black & White by necessity at first, then later by choice, the rare incursions in the world of colors have never lasted very long.

Monochrome is an art project combining writing and photography. It’s also an experiment in running a digital project across multiple meaningful domain names, while exploring the intersection of art and commerce, digital and print.

Newsletter

I send an email when there is something new: a photograph, a text, a print. Nothing in between.
